Our Survey Director is a member of the transition team for UK BIM Alliance and the Chair of the Survey4BIM group. For us, the role of the surveyor in BIM is evolving so investing time towards our digital transformation alongside the industry’s development is important. Our Chairman and directors are all Fellows of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering.
Graham Mills – Chairman FCInstCES
Graham founded Sitechnics in 1989 and co-founded Subtechnics in 1999. Graham leads the business and his clear vision, expertise, drive and passion to create a forward looking business that is centred around excellence in understanding customer requirements and delivering service, has led to Technics being at the forefront of its market.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors and a former President of The Survey Association, the trade body for commercial survey companies in the UK.
Outside of work Graham enjoys spending time with his family, Formula 1, mountain biking, Lotus cars, track days, Le Mans: note the subtle petrolhead theme…
John Macintyre – Managing Director FCInstCES
John joined Technics in 1995. He presides over the day-to-day business activities, which include strategic planning, maintaining the company values and building sustainable client relationships.
John works very closely with the Account Managers to develop new business and oversees the Project Management team who deal with all new enquiries and survey team logistics.
John is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
Outside of work John enjoys spending time with his family and participating in sport. He has supported Liverpool FC from an early age and is STILL waiting for them to deliver the Premiership title! He is also a keen cyclist, with both road and mountain bikes you can be sure he’ll be somewhere in the Surrey Hills at the weekend.
Martin Penney – Director FCInstCES, MSc, Dip LS (UCL), Ba (hons)
Martin joined the company in 2008 as Survey Manager, being promoted to Survey Director in February 2012. A qualified surveyor and Organisation Development Consultant, Martin has been in the industry for 20 years and is passionate about the future direction and development of the industry.
His role is to support John in driving strategic growth and market share through the vehicles of quality, innovation, training and Health & Safety. Martin also supports the Land and Underground Survey Managers, Utility Report, Property and Administration Departments.
Martin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
Martin’s other passions are his family, climbing, rowing, ancient Greek and Persian history, real ale and Belgium lager.
