Utility Survey Report in Milton Keynes

Technics’ UTR team have worked closely with design and engineering consultancy PSH to provide a desktop utility survey report (PAS 128 QL-D) and digitisation of a site in Milton Keynes.

The expert team gathered plans from utility suppliers in the area and combined them to provide a clear and coherent digitisation report across a wide area detailing the numerous utilities occupying the site. This report then enabled the client to identify where exactly to undertake a radar scan, saving both time and potential cost associated with scanning a wider area than necessary.

What is digitisation?

Digitisation is the collation of all subsurface utility information into one easy-to-use, interactive location. The utility information on each statutory plan is overlaid onto OS Base Mapping in AutoCAD, thus providing all utilities in a single, combined view and eliminating any usability issues which may occur when attempting to work from a set of independent plans.
