New Recruits to the Technics Team

Itโ€™s been a brilliant couple of months at Technics for developing the next generation of surveyors. Since May we have been fortunate enough to welcome 4 new Trainee Surveyors to the Technics Teamโ€ฆ

Matt Self and Matt Williams have joined the team as Trainee Land Surveyors. James Goodwin has joined the Wakefield Team as a Trainee Utility Surveyor and Vacuum Excavation Operator. And Harry Bonfield is our most recent recruit joining us as a Trainee Utility Surveyor.

All of our trainees will benefit from our tailored internal and external training programme including the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) whilst gaining hands on experience working alongside our experienced surveyors. They will gain an understanding of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), PAS 128, drainage surveys and topographical survey techniques. Our comprehensive programme provides a variety hands on onsite and office-based experience.

In addition to the Trainee Surveyors, we are also delighted to welcome Tegan Garratt who joined the Utility Reports Team last month as Assistant Technical Report Administrator. Our Desktop Utility Reports, play a vital role in planning for any excavation project. This desk-based study is the first step in identifying underground utilities via the collation and analysis of existing utility records.

This year we have seen demand for our Desktop Utility Reports go through the roof, with an 85% increase in the number of reports sent out in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. The industry has seen an explosion of activity lately, with the variety and volume of sites increasing all the time. So recruiting Tegan to the team to support with this increased demand is a great step forward for Technics and demonstrates our commitment to delivering a quick, efficient and high quality service to our customers.

And finally Sabrina Fox has joined the team this month as a Project Coordinator, supporting our Project Manager with the organisation, logistics and administration required to deliver our client projects on time and to the satisfaction of our clients.

We are delighted that we have been able to grow the Technics team with these new recruits and we canโ€™t wait to see how they all progress over the next few months!
