Supporting Inclusive Play: Technics’ Fundraising for Challengers

This year, we continued our support for Challengers, a brilliant charity that provides inclusive play and leisure opportunities for children and young people with disabilities. Our 2025 contribution combined a direct donation through the Big Give initiative with additional funds raised through our internal Winter Walk Challenge. 

Big Give Christmas Challenge 

We donated £2,000 to Challengers via the Big Give Christmas Challenge. As the Big Give operates on a match-funding model, our contribution unlocked an additional £2,000, doubling the impact to £4,000.

Winter Walk Challenge 

Last month, our colleagues across Technics and Earth, Environmental & Geotechnical took part in our Winter Walk Challenge that encouraged everyone to stay active while also raising further funds for Challengers. Participants worked together in teams, tracking their steps throughout the month using pedometer apps or fitness devices.  

Together, our colleagues raised £190, which we matched to bring the total to £380. 

We donated our £190 match via the Big Give, where it was doubled to £380, bringing the total impact of the Winter Walk Challenge to £570.
