Technics continue to invest
This month we are very pleased to announce two significant investments in Leica laser scanning technology for 2019.
Our first investment is the Leica ScanStation P40 deliver highest quality 3D data and HDR imaging at an extremely fast scan rate of 1 million points per second at ranges of up to 270 m. Unsurpassed range and angular accuracy paired with low range noise and survey-grade dual-axis compensation form the foundation for highly detailed 3D colour point clouds mapped in realistic clarity. For us it’s the right combination of speed, range, accuracy and toughness.
Our latest acquisition – which arrived last week to great delight from the team – is the Leica RTC360 laser scanner. With a measuring rate of up to 2 million points per second and advanced HDR imaging system, the creation of coloured 3D point clouds can be completed in under two minutes. This means better images and crisp, high-quality scans with a lot of detail. The team loves how portable it is, making it easier to use in multiple environments. Plus, there’s a seamless transfer of data from site to office so our team have greater capacity for data capture and office processing.
“The new scanners are a significant investment for the company,” said Technics Managing Director John Macintyre. “But with the constant advancement in survey technology, they will enhance our methodology on-site and increase our efficiency, which will in turn benefit our clients’ project delivery.
“By continually investing in new technology, we also provide new learning for the team to develop their expertise of working in diverse environments, data management and processing capabilities. Ensuring project work is delivered to the highest standard is something they pride themselves on. ”
