The Technics team attend London Build 2018

On October 23rd and 24th, a selection of our expert team attended the 2018 London Build conference in Olympia London.

London Build is the leading and largest construction and built environment show in London, and features over 240 speakers across eight conference theatres, including: Future London, London Design, BIM & Digital Construction, Sustainability, Interior & Fit-out, Innovation, Skills Hub and Fire Safety.

It offers a chance to meet and do business with thousands of contractors, architects, specifiers, developers, local councils, housing associations, house builders engineers, suppliers and construction professionals.

The Technics team were on hand to discuss the latest in geospatial technology and explore the data that is transforming the built environment. Here, Rob Murrain Field, Senior Land Surveyor, comments on the event:

β€œThe conference was well attended, the first day in particular, with lots of activity on our stand from potential customers. We met a range of visitors, from large airport managers, digital innovation experts, commercial managers and UK-based utility companies, through to small scale project managers looking for simple measured building and elevation surveys on a tight budget.

What was particularly interesting was the number of visitors not directly connected to the surveying industry, who were interested in our products and the visualisation of our data, which seemed to be a key talking point. Visitors were genuinely interested in our 3D renders and visualisations of land, building and utility assets all combined in one model.

For us, the benefit of attending the show is to expose Technics’ transparent approach to a new range of clients. We had a significant amount of interest from international firms which opens doors for us to additional work overseas.”
