Martin Penney becomes a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors

In recognition of his substantial contribution to the industry, Director Martin Penney has been invited to join the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) as a Fellow.

A chartered professional body, the ICES has over 5,000 members worldwide, mainly representing the interests of civil engineering surveyors of both the commercial and geospatial disciplines. It supports the development of the construction industry through education and sharing of ideas, all of which Technics is keen to support. At Technics, employee support, development and recognition of success help drive excellence in how we deliver projects, and we’re keen supporters in developing the industry as a profession.

Identified as having significant senior experience as a civil engineering surveyor, Fellows are selected based on their contribution to the industry or to the ICES that is over and above their everyday professional work.

On this invitation, Martin said, “The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors’ mission is to advance the science and art of civil engineering surveying in all aspects of the specialisations of geospatial engineering and commercial management within civil engineering for the benefit of the public. This is something I’m extremely keen to help develop – both personally and through my role at Technics, where we’re keen to support the advancement of standards in education and the practice and conduct of the industry as a whole.”
