Technics recruits new talent

Our recruitment plan continues at pace and we are delighted to welcome four new trainee surveyors who will engage in our comprehensive training programmes.

Tom Coleman, Hannah Alsop and Jake McCabe join the Utility Mapping team where they will gain an understanding of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), electromagnetics, drainage surveys, topographical survey techniques and equipment and office survey data processing in both 2D and 3D formats.

Tom C cropped_1Tom joins Technics to fulfil a change in his career and learn new skills from our extensive training programme. He hopes to develop himself further both personally and professionally in our proactive, professional environment. Outside work, Tom has a passion for cars and he spends his spare time playing and watching football.
Tom says, “This is a great opportunity for me to embark on a new career and one that I’m excited about doing so at such an established company like Technics. I’m looking forward to learning new skills from some of the best in the industry. ”

Hannah is a highly motivated individual with a BA in Geography. She is well travelled and excited by the opportunity Technics has presented. Hannah says, “I’m delighted to be joining Technics as a trainee utility surveyor and I’m looking forward to gaining a lot of training and experience from such a knowledgeable and welcoming team.”

Jake McCabe joins having worked as a thermal insulation engineer for eight months. Jake is a keen footballer and he follows his local club Brighton and Hove Albion. He says, “This is a great opportunity for me to learn the skills it takes to become a utility surveyor. I’m going to take full advantage of the brilliant training that Technics has to offer. I was previously a thermal insulation engineer and I felt a career change would stimulate me more. Since joining I’ve been made to feel very welcome and I’m grateful for the training and time the surveyors have already given me.”

 

JW cropped1Jennifer Wilson joins the Land and Building Survey department where she will receive full training in measured building surveys, topographic surveys, setting out, GPS, laser scanning and 3D modelling. Jennifer has a BA in Archaeology and a wide range of experience in the field which will prove invaluable to the Technics team. Jennifer says, “I’m thrilled to join the Technics team and look forward to receiving the training and career progression on offer. I’m also excited to be able to draw upon my archaeological experience.”
