Last night saw the latest excursion of the Technics Group Jelly Legs Mountain Bike Club. We started at Abinger Hammer in the heart of the Surrey Hills, from here we made our way through Deers Leap Wood, on through Wotton and then started the long climb up the dusty trails on Leith Hill. We had a welcomed break at the top by the Semaphore Tower which is the highest point in Surrey. The best bit of course was the high speed run back down the hill taking in some great rocky and rooty singletrack trails. We all arrived at the bottom with the added bonus of no broken bones or serious scrapes!
We have now financed 8 bikes for our staff through the Government Cycle Scheme. This excellent scheme has allowed our guys to buy bikes tax free and therefore save about 40% on the cost. This is a huge amount and has allowed them to get better bikes as a result. It also helps our carbon footprint as they cycle to work when they are in the office.
