Leica has been supplying precise network corrections for GPS RTK for 5 years now through its spider software network.
At the home of English Rugby last week Leica further cemented its credentials and joint commitment with the Ordnance Survey (OS) to continue to improve and enhance the national GPS network which underpins our National Grid reference system.
The OS for its part also confirmed its ongoing commitment to national co-ordination and mapping via amongst other things its Geo-net of next generation rock anchor GPS reference stations and its collaborative work on new transformation models for both plan and height.
The event was also a convenient platform for Leica to display its new equipment and talk about the new Viva range of instruments and software with their image driven menus, amongst other things.
