Roman Burial Site

Technics was appointed to produce point cloud data using 3D laser scanning on a Roman burial site, uncovered in Ewell, Surrey, early last year.

Designed to automatically capture large volumes of 3D survey points – known as point cloud – the 3D scanner enabled Technics to capture a wide range of highly detailed and accurate data within a short time frame on this unique site.

The result was a quality, colour RGB, fully registered dimensional point cloud that provided the client with a measured record of the site in less than 24 hours.
